Blogs and social media posts have become too righteous. Online, places to take refuge from the yelling are sparse.

There was a time when blogs were a way to escape the drudgery of traditional news. Now the news feels increasingly like a place to relax and unwind.

Few write to bring others joy and even fewer write to inform. Most write to prove their virtue to a public they do not, and will not, ever know.
