Deliver easy to understand investment property evaluation reports to help buyers make a decision about which property is worth it.

A web-app that can generate ROI evaluations, with minimal input, to assist buyers in negotiations with agents and sellers.

The Process

Treacherous amounts of user input

The original app was a calculator to help the buyers calculate a building’s ROI, but it required extensive details. It was meant to be simple yet thorough, but the app’s developers were getting negative feedback from confused users.

The app suffered from a cumbersome wizard, and too many optional fields.

What buyers want is a second opinion

Real estate has complex dynamics between buyers, sellers, agents, and government, and getting a highly accurate evaluation is a tremendous task.

Conversations with buyers revealed that they still rely mostly on agents’ opinions but that negotiations were uncomfortable, and that they didn’t always trust agents’ claims.

A one-page report in 30 seconds

We worked towards a simple report that cut down on initial on-boarding by 80% and generated a simple list of cards that told buyers only the most important details.

The report balanced numbers and plain explanations for the buyer, to assist them in making sense of the complexity.
